Diemax celebrate moving into their brand new factory

Thursday March 5 2015

Dundee based Diemax Precision Engineering Ltd have moved to their brand new factory.

To celebrate they’d like to invite all of their customers to come and have a look at this incredible new facility with an Open Day on Friday 20 March, starting at 11:00am at their new address, Unit 6, Whittle Place, Kingsway Park, Dundee, DD2 4US.  It’s set to be quite an event with Diemax engineers on hand to discuss customers’ manufacturing requirements, answer any questions and showcase their brand new Dugard machines with manufacturing demonstrations running throughout the day.  As well as all the Diemax staff, Dugard MD Eric Dugard will be at the open day along with David Martin, our new Scottish sales manager, our apps engineer Rod Hardinge and Paul Dugard who’ll be videoing the day for those of you who can’t make it up to Dundee.

Impressive New Factory
Diemax have been building a loyal customer base for over 30 years, all that work has clearly paid off as they quite simply outgrew their old premises, prompting their move to a brand new 10,000 ft2 factory.  The new site is really only a stone’s throw from their old unit but in a much better position, giving excellent access from all major routes into Dundee.  The new factory has been custom built to accommodate the impressive design facilities available at Diemax and of course their selection of Dugard machines.

Dugard Machines at Diemax
Most of the Dugard machines at Diemax have been delivered within the past two years, putting them at the cutting edge of CNC engineering technology.  Their selection of Dugard machines includes 3 Dugard 760E VMCs and a Dugard 1000E from the immensely popular Dugard E Range.  They also boast 2 Dugard 1000Y Plus VMCs – one of Dugard’s best ever selling machines with a heavy duty design for optimum rigidity and accuracy, a Dugard 850 VMC and a high speed Dugard 200HT CNC lathe.  Each of these machines is exceptional in its class, giving Diemax a steady platform to increase both their capacity and customer base.

New Dugard machines to add to the range at Diemax
With a larger premises of course comes the demand for more machines and Diemax turned to Dugard to supply just what they needed.  They have invested in 2 of Dugard’s brand new Dugard Lunans, the 500A and 800A VMCs, both machines have proved extremely popular since their introduction at MACH in 2014.  They’re also taking delivery of a Dugard Lunan 19-55, a robust and heavy duty multi-function CNC lathe, and a Dugard 32 sub spindle CNC lathe, signalling a new direction for Diemax as they will now have a much better ability to machine intricate, small components.  All the new machines will be delivered and ready for demonstration on 20 March for the Diemax open day.

The new factory at Diemax marks a big leap forward for them and the open day on 20 March is a brilliant opportunity to pop along and see just how they’re settling in.  If you’re planning on attending, or you need some more info on Diemax email Phyllis Donnelly at [email protected] and she’ll be happy to help you.  We’ll be posting a video of the event on our YouTube channel and of course well keep you updated on Twitter (@dugardcom) and our LinkedIn company page (C Dugard Ltd) so make sure you follow us.
